Education Trust Foundation will hold a conference in Moscow on 17-19 September 2012 for Russian school directors and teachers. The conference will address the issues of:
1. The position of Russian school in world rankings.
2. Comparative analysis of educational standards.
3. International standards for training school teachers.
4. International Baccalaureate (IB) as a working model of international standards in national schools.
The Conference will bring together more than 150 participants from Moscow and the regions. Among them are the leaders and teachers of Russian educational institutions, representatives of the Federal, regional and municipal education authorities, as well as Russian and international experts in the field of education.
Speakers include principals of the best Russian and foreign schools operating under the International Baccalaureate, professors and teachers of Russian higher education institutions, experts of the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO), and representatives of Federal and regional education authorities and professional societies. Panel discussions and round tables will be conducted on topical issues in the development of the new Federal state educational standards of general education and their convergence with international standards.
The conference will be held at the Federal state autonomous institution “Academy for Retraining and Advanced Training of Teaching Staff” at 8-2А, Golovinskoye Schosse, Moscow, metro station Vodny Stadion.
The opening ceremony will be held September 17 at 6 p.m. at the Moscow Kolobov Novaya Opera Theatre, 3-2, Karetny Ryad St., Hermitage Garden. Children’s creative teams from conference partner schools will perform at the ceremony. Guests will be entertained by a ROSSINI musical divertimento of the Moscow Kolobov Novaya Opera Theatre. The evening will end with a reception.
